Mr. Ang’s decision to become an entrepreneur was not happenstance or a stroke of luck – with more than 20 years’ experience in the industry, he recognized that consumer attitudes have moved towards increased emphasis on service standards rather than merely on the price and quality of products, something that he found inadequate in his previous employ. It was his drive to deliver such exceptional service quality that motivated Mr. Ang to set up his own company.

A hands-on individual, Mr. Ang personally makes certain that the promised standards are delivered. In the case of FG Wilson, he ensures that their products are manufactured to the highest UK standards, uniform across all manufacturing facilities across the globe. The relevant supply chain processes are also handled by Neovia Logistics Services (formerly referred to as Caterpillar Logistics), synonymously known for their service efficiency; a result of that is an order turnaround of under a week, with urgent requests tended to in as quickly as under 2 hours.
Competition continues to be stiff within the industry, with several players offering similar products at deep discounts, largely attributed to the fact that their products are sourced from cheaper, low-cost producing countries such as China and Taiwan. Competitors are also increasingly aware of the need to innovate and therefore moving in the path toward service excellence. However, Mr. Ang is quick to add that PDS is continuously evolving and adapting to the changing needs of customers.
